Political Science, Philosophy and Geography

The Political Science program is part of the Department of Political Science, Philosophy and Geography. The Political Science major is uniquely designed for students interested in careers in government, public administration, law, public service, and business. Students often link this major to other disciplines such as Communication Studies, Economics, Business, Public Administration, or Computer Science to create double majors or to serve as minors. A political science minor is also available. Political science students are prepared to begin a career upon graduation or to continue education at the graduate level. The geography minor offers an opportunity to learn more about physical habitats, rural and urban, and how geographical factors influence social and economic systems. The philosophy and peace and human rights minors explore fundamental issues related to the human condition and the study of social, political, and religious thought.
