Kangerlussuaq Greenland

Kangerlussuaq is located in southwest Greenland approximately 30 km from the Greenland Ice Cap. Field work in July, 2000 focussed primarily on the detailed mapping of erosional forms along a bedrock sill that is crossed by the Watson River (see photograph below). This site was deglaciated approximately 6,000 years before present.
