CSU-AAUP Collective Bargaining Agreement: Summer Curriculum Development Funds.  The Development of Six Unit-Specific Comprehensive Rubrics (aligned with national/state standards) for Assessing Graduate Students Portfolios. 

 

Summer Institute for Future Teachers (SIFT) Awarded small grant to fund project with early childhood education students to develop literacy backpacks.  Project will be presented to SIFT participants in summer of 2003.

CONSULTING EXPERIENCE:

 

Served as reading consultant for Putnam Public Schools.  Responsibilities included:

  • Program evaluator:  Completed end of year reports investigating the implementation of programs administered under federal grants.
  • Project consultant:  Provided ongoing consultation services regarding the continuing implementation of three federal grants.

 

Served as reading consultant for East Hartford Public Schools.  Responsibilities included:

  • A qualitative research study investigating phonics instruction.
  • Follow-up staff development in integrated phonics instruction.

 

CURRICULUM EXPERIENCE:

 

Served as Curriculum Facilitator of Grades K-8 for Reading/Language Arts, Woodstock Public Schools

  • Planned and implemented workshops for teachers on reading/language arts instruction and assessment
